How Should a Hoodie Fit? The Zone-by-Zone Guide

The fit makes or breaks it

A great hoodie fits like it was made for you. Here's how each zone should sit.

Shoulders

Classic fit: seams at your natural shoulder. Streetwear/oversized: drop shoulder sitting 1-2 inches below — intentional, relaxed.

Body

You want room to layer a tee underneath without the hoodie ballooning. Pinch the fabric at your chest — 2-3 inches of slack is the sweet spot.

Length

The hem should hit mid-fly. Longer reads sloppy; shorter is a crop, which is a choice — make sure it's yours.

Sleeves

End at the wrist bone with slight stacking. Ribbed cuffs should hold without cutting in.

Hood

It should sit full and structured behind your neck, not limp. A lined, self-fabric hood (like our P2016) holds shape.

Sizing up vs. true to size

For a true oversized look, go one size up in a classic-fit hoodie — or buy a purpose-cut relaxed hoodie true to size and keep clean proportions.
